The Latest From My Bookshelf
11 Feb 2010
Since giving up production of Soul Quisine I have had more time to indulge in one of my favourite pasttimes – reading.
Here are some of the books that I have read in the past three weeks:
Eckhart Tolle – Practicing the Power of Now. It is exactly what I need right now and I am enjoying putting his words into practice. So far it has changed my
‘now’ considerably. It has helped me to get back into my writing and my creativity has begun to flow again. That is such a relief as I had felt that it had all but dried up.
I will keep you posted.
I found the next three books in a box of books that belonged to my late sister in law. Thanks for some great reading Tri.
The New Zealand Ghost Book – Robyn Jenkin first published in 1978. It is full of wonderful and mysterious happenings in locations around New Zealand.
She twice mentions in the book about how people experienced being blocked from going entering an area and I have personally experienced this phenomenon.
So far the book covers happenings in the Christchurch, Dunedin, Timaru, Akaroa, Chathams at Whangaparoa, and Nelson area including The Old Stone House in Christchurch, Larnach Castle in Dunedin.
From Strength to Strength and The Strength In Us All by Sara Henderson
These books are two of six she has writted about her life on Bullo River Station in the Northern Territory of Australia. They are truly inspirational pieces of literature and I couldn’t put them down.
Please put up a posting on the books that you are reading that are of a spiritual or after life nature.
It is the best way to pass on great books to others of like mind.
Happy reading
Olwynne
